People with Hearing Impairment Face Challenges Communicating Needs for Basic Services

People with hearing impairment face daunting challenges in communicating their needs for basic services, and accessing services.  Secretary of the Tanzania Association of the Deaf (TAD) Kibaha District Tatu Kondo says, “Our members for example could not be understood with people at the hospital where they went for medical service. Which means it was difficult to get the right medication.”   TAD has a program to help those who serve the public sign language.  More here…
